Christina Hendricks: Bored of Talking About Her Body
The actress would rather talk about her work on Mad Men.
Christina Hendricks recently told New York Magazine as their cover model that she’s bored with all this fuss over her curvy and voluptuous body. The actress, 34, would enjoy talking about her work as Joan Holloway on the hit series Mad Men.
“It kind of hurt my feelings at first,” she told New York. “Anytime someone talks about your figure constantly, you get nervous, you get really self-conscious. I was working my butt off on the show, and then all anyone was talking about was my body!”
People have been talking about Hendricks’ body because she has a new and refreshing figure that we don’t usually see on the red carpet or on the runway. She embraces every curve she has, and women gravitate towards that.
But if you try to bring it up in a conversation with Hendricks, don’t expect to get very far. “It just leaves a bad taste in my mouth,” she says. “Back when I was modeling, if someone said ‘I’m fasting,’ I would say, ‘Can’t we talk about something else?’” (New York Magazine)
