Couple Arrested for Giving Their Kids Tattoos
A Georgia couple claim that their kids were not harmed in the homemade project.
Patty Jo Marsh and her husband Jacob Bartels tattooed their children, ages 10 to 17, using an old tattoo machine and guitar strings as a needle just after Thanksgiving.
And although they themselves found nothing wrong with the inking, the biological mother of two of their children complained to the DFACS and police.
“They weren’t hurt by them,” Marsh later said. “We would never do anything to hurt them.”
Jacob and Patty Jo were charged with cruelty to children, reckless conduct and tattooing, and were arrested on December 28.
Both were freed on Friday and are waiting a court date. The children, who were taken from the home, are now back in the care of their family. (ajc.com)
