The Internet has been abuzz about the loss of Miley Cyrus – on Twitter, that is.
The pop star closed her Twitter account last week, after saying that her current boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, isn’t a fan of the micro-blogging site and wanted her to quit. She then mad a rap video for her YouTube account explaining her monumental decision, claiming that she quit to “live for people” instead of “moments.”
Among the devastated fans was her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who posted the following Tweet asking her to return: “Miley. You are light in a world of darkness. You were born ‘Destiny Hope Cyrus’ for a reason. You can’t leave everyone now. We r countin on u.”
You saw this and thought to yourself, Why did Billy Ray post that on his Twitter – couldn’t he just call his daughter to beg her to broadcast her life on the Internet? … Jimmy Fallon saw this message and found inspiration.
In an effort to stay one step ahead of the Cyrus family, Jimmy made his own video as Billy Ray, reminding everyone that “Miley might be gone, but I’m still here.”
