Single Ladies Dance

Social networking sites are going crazy over this new viral video featuring five 7-year-olds dancing to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies.’

The controversy? Well, for one, the girls’ costumes are not exactly age appropriate, and the dance moves are, how shall we say, more suitable for an adult establishment containing dim lighting and a shiny silver pole.

  1. They’re really talented little girls… but their choreographer definitely should’ve picked a song/dance more suitable for their age group that showed off their talent just as much.

  2. I recently read an article from a woman who talked about pretending to be someone else on Halloween. There are many costumes out there that advertise to kids’ costumes that are slutty, naughty, and whorish..to girls. But the main point was that Halloween was a time to be someone who you fantasize about (not become). Children have so little time to be innocent so dressing like this is only a fantasy in the little girls’ world. It is us (adults) that say it is not okay, but a child should be able to be whatever they want even if it resembles being Britney Spears or Madonna.
