Easy Temperature Readings
Exergen TemporalScanner is a kinder, gentler thermometer!
I’ve NEVER been a fan of the rectal thermometer, not even when I had newborns, and I don’t know ANY moms who use those under-the-tongue tempy takers. In the past, I’ve found the armpit digital thermometers to be OK, give or take one, two or two-point-five degrees, but I’ve discovered my new sick-kid best friend when it comes to fevers!
I had the perfect chance to try it out when my youngest came down with strep throat last week. The Exergen TemporalScanner is so easy to use. Seriously, the kid just has to LIE THERE. You swipe the scanner across his or her hot little head and it tells you the temperature in less than two seconds.
The Exergen TemporalScanner costs anywhere from $30 – $49 and you can find it at Costco, Wal-Mart, Walgreen’s, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us and Sam’s Club nationwide. And not to put a damper on your spirits, but with the cold and flu season upon us, you just might want to go out and pick yourself up one of these scanners soon!
