It’s time for our favorite shows to take a little break while we head outside to soak in the summer’s warm rays. But first, we’ve got to catch those OMG season wrap-ups that will have us gasping until our beloved series return next fall. Betty combed through the listings and picked out our top five shows (including one series end!) that you definitely don’t want to miss. After all, you’ll need something to discuss when you’re lounging on the beach for the next three months!

Vampire Diaries

Somebody is totally going to die tonight. Not as if that’s unexpected on a series about vampires, but it’s going to be a significant character, the series producers have confirmed. So, who will it be? Seems like poor Caroline is always the last to get in on anything (she dated Matt after Elena and she still is in the dark about the Salvatore’s true identity). Maybe she’ll be first for once, and get the ax!  (Thurs. May 13 @ 8 p.m., The CW)

30 Rock

Hmmm, Liz Lemon’s ex-boyfriend Floyd is getting married, and not to her. That could lead any sane gal to do something crazy, like marry the first man she sees. Lucky for Liz, it’s mostly likely going to be special guest star Matt Damon! 30 Rock’s  Keith Powell confirmed for that there are “lots of weddings” in the finale. We wonder if Katrina Bowden, who plays Liz’s ditsy assistant, Cerie, will get her wish to book Jonathan Rhys Meyers for her turn down the aisle! (Thur., May 20 @ 9:30 p.m., NBC)

  1. What, no mention of Supernatural with Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins? This is probably one of the best written shows on television today. It’s quirky, funny, and those guys are VERY easy on the eyes. It’s my personal favorite.

  2. I’m with you CandaceLove. My husband, daughter, and I love Supernatural to no end. It’s our family night. I am so excited and uneasy about tonight’s season finale. The only problem, we’ll have to wait for the fall to see what happens next. Also looking forward to Vampire Diaries, Lost, and 24!

  3. I have been a faithful viewer of LOST since it premiered and cried buckets when Sun and Jin died 2 weeks ago.I already have my LOST weekend planned. It is one of the best shows ever

  4. I am with lovesbetty on this one! Serious reconsideration how to spend the free leisure time.. clearly, watching seasons of most favorite TV shows is the answer 😉
