George Clooney Recruits Justin Timberlake, Meryl Streep and Others for Haiti Telethon
It’s going to be an amazing night!
Last week we learned that George Clooney was putting together a star-studded telethon to raise money for Haiti earthquake victims, and on Sunday he unveiled the list of generous celebs who are getting involved.
Justin Timberlake and Bono have already agreed to partake in the event. Olivia Wilde, Josh Brolin, Gerard Butler, Meryl Streep and Amy Poehler are donating their gowns worn at the Golden Globes to Artists for Peace and Justice (a relief group that intends to auction off the garments and give 100 percent of the proceeds to the people of Haiti).
“It’s my way of turning all this fashion madness into something positive,” Wilde said of the gown-giving.
The Up in the Air actor is set to co-host the telethon with Wyclef Jean, who was born in Haiti.
Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys and Sting may be performing at the charity event – if Clooney gets his way!
