As we previously reported, bags of new, unsold clothing were being destroyed and discarded at one H&M New York store. However, after coming under fire from the New York Times and other organizations, the clothing retailer has promised that any unworn clothes will now be donated to charity.
Spokeswoman Cynthia Magnus insists that she didn’t know why the store was mutilating and throwing out the clothes, but it “will not happen again.” (NY Post)
