Step Three: Lips
A nice gloss instantly ups your beauty game. And to ensure you’ve got the right shade, try this trick from Darac. “There are two places you can check to see if it’s the right color for you,” he says. “One is the inner cheek of your mouth—the color should match perfectly. The other is the inside of your pinkie finger. That’s the closest to your lip, and if the color looks good on that, it’s going to look good on your lips.” Rimmel London’s Vinyl lip gloss in Summer Nude ($5.79, ulta.com)
Step Four: Mascara
“When you have mascara on, people know that you’ve taken the time to do your makeup,” Darac says. A thick coat of black mascara, he says, will help make eyes look more alive. Another tip? Brush the mascara into the roots of the lashes so that it looks like you’re wearing liner. Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes ($18, Sephora.com)
Step Five: Multitasking
Got a few seconds to spare? Maximize your bare-bones routine by using your lip gloss as a blush. Darac says that you can also use your brow pencil as an eye liner.
And voila! You’re ready to walk out the door looking your best.
