But before you rush to give your credit card a workout it’s important to remember that one girl’s trendy tartan chic is another girl’s lumberjack nightmare — this checked print can be tricky to pull off. If You’re Petite
The only petite people who can really get away with intense plaids are, um, leprechauns. Smaller frames tend to be overwhelmed by big prints and it can be hard to work a kilt without looking like a Catholic schoolgirl. Stick to a plaid accessory worn with solids in a complementary color, or opt for a smaller plaid print in a darker hue, which will be more forgiving on your figure.
