The husband of Susan Powell, the missing Utah mother of two, has left their Salt Lake City home and moved to Washington State, Fox News reports.
Police have named Joshua Powell a person of interest in the case, but were unable to stop him from moving this past weekend, despite his being the last person to see his wife and the fact that he reportedly took his two preschool-aged sons camping in the freezing wilderness in the wee hours of the night of Susan’s disappearance.
“He has not been cooperating with us very much up to this point,” said police captain Tom McLachlan.
However, a neighbor defended Powell’s decision to move a little more than a month after his wife’s Dec. 7 disappearance, stating:
“Without a normal income and Susan’s income, there’s no way he can hang onto the house,” said Ron Stagg, who helped the family move. (Fox News)
