Iceland is being hailed as the world’s most feminist country as a law recently passed forbidding any business from turning a profit off its employees’ nudity.
Strip clubs have officially been banned thanks to the women who make up nearly half of Iceland’s legislators, including Johanna Sigurdardottir, the country’s first female head of state.
“Once you break past the glass ceiling and have more than one third of female politicians,” politician Kolbrún Halldórsdóttir said, “something changes. Feminist energy seems to permeate everything. (Newser)
