“This works well with different wines, but a Cabernet wine combined with Fresca provides great flavor and a berry pink color,” says Ponichtera. “If you prefer less sweetness, use half Fresca and half tonic water, and garnish with an orange or lemon slice.”


1 cup sugar-free soda pop (Fresca, ginger ale, tonic water, Sprite, club soda, seltzer water, etc.)
1.5 cup of wine (white, red, or blush)
Ice cubes


Fill a tall glass with ice cubes, add soda pop and wine, stir to mix.

Set the diced apple in a large pitcher and pour the mixture over it. Chill for at least two hours, add the club soda and serve with ice.
