JK Rowling May Write Another Harry Potter Book
Just don’t look for it in the next few years.
The author of the mega-bestselling Harry Potter series said she won’t rule out writing another book about the young wizard, but that it wouldn’t be until “about 10 years from now.”
JK Rowling made the statement while answering questions from kids who went to the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday.
But millions of eager Potter fans may not have to wait too much longer for Rowling’s next book, which definitely won’t be about Harry.
Asked by one of the kids if she wanted to write another book, Rowling, who treated her thrilled audience to a reading from the Potter series, replied, “Yes, I do. I’m quite sure in the not-too-distant-future I will bring out another book.”
Rowling did give her audience one new tidbit about Harry: She said she chose the name Potter because she always liked it much better than her own. (Washington Post)
