Jennifer Garner Works Out for “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past”
How she turns exercise time into family time
Jennifer Garner was in no rush to lose the baby weight she gained during her pregnancy with baby Seraphina, but now it is time for the premiere and promotional tour of Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, her new flick co-starring Matthew McConaughey. Jen has kicked her workouts up just a bit and she took to the outdoors for exercise with her family this weekend in Boston.
Jen and hubby Ben Affleck spent the weekend in Massachusetts with his family and their daughters, Violet, 3, and Seraphina, 5 months. The family held a birthday celebration for Jen, who turned 37, last week. Friends tell me Ben tries to bring his girls up for monthly visits to see his mom where she lives and teaches outside of Boston in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Friends say, “Jen loves the neighborhood and she goes out for long walks with the dog and usually one of the girls in a stroller. She gets lots of exercise when she visits and Jen spent the entire weekend in sneakers and shorts running around with the girls and enjoying the weather.”
Back in Los Angeles, Jen has been working out just a couple days a week with a trainer to get her body back in shape, but friends tell me that she is not making it a priority. “Jen knows she will lose the weight naturally and she’d rather spend all of her free time with Ben, Seraphina and Violet. She is such a family person and nothing, especially vanity, will get in the way of time spent with them. Jen was made to be a mother and she is happy no matter what size she is.”
