Daily Dish: John Travolta to Testify at Extortion Trial
John Travolta to head to the Bahamas to testify in case relating to the death of his son, Jett.
It’s been a very tough year for the Travolta family after losing son Jett, and this won’t make things any easier. TMZ.com is reporting that John Travolta will be heading to the Bahamas this week to testify in an extortion trial relating to his son’s untimely passing.
John filed an extortion complaint against the paramedic, Tarino Lightbourn, who was called to the scene of Jett’s seizure on January 2, as well as former Bahamian senator, Pleasant Bridgewater.
The day of Jett’s death, John had signed a “refuse to transport” waiver, which frees responsibility from the ambulance crew if a patient does not wish to be sent to the hospital. Tarino the paramedic held on to this document until two weeks after Jett’s death. He then enlisted the help of his attorney, Pleasant Bridgewater, to offer to sell it back to John Travolta, hence the extortion complaint.
John must now head to the Bahamas to testify in person, and we hope he returns the victor. (US Magazine)
