Jon Gosselin blames Kate

Jon Gosselin is pulling the sympathy card by placing the blame on his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, for their failed marriage. The reality star and recent club-goer told ABC News’ Chris Cuomo during his Good Morning America interview that Kate verbally abused him and changed who he was.

“Our relationship will never be fixed,” he says. “… I don’t trust her anymore. I was abused … I was beaten down … I’m not going back to that lifestyle.”

Jon elaborates by telling Chris Cuomo that in the 10 years that Jon and Kate were married, Jon never stood up to his wife, especially when she refused to let him go out with friends. When he finally did stand up for himself, he said his happiness was overwhelming. “I just felt like I had to take back some time in my life, and I did it. And I felt really good. I made my own decision.”

Jon claims he tried to fix the problems in his marriage before they hit a breaking point by going to therapy, but once again throws Kate under the bus by revealing that she refused to go.

“If she’s not going to therapy, she’s not going to fix herself, then it’s not going to work. It takes two people. I have a $22,000 therapy bill. I mean, I tried to have marriage counseling. I did it myself. She refused to go.”

Jon Gosselin airs all of this dirty laundry and more during his Good Morning America interview which airs today, Sept. 8, and again later on Primetime: Family Secrets at 10 p.m. ET. (USmagazine)

  1. Before their split became public, I found myself turning the program off because of Kate’s constant verbal abuse of Jon. It seemed that she was lashing out at him constantly, which made the show not fun to watch anymore. Jon could probably do a better job of his current lifestyle, but after all, he is a guy and this is what they do. He seems to love his children and has them in his #1 position. I think he will settle down and before long we’ll be saying, “Jon who?”
