Justin Bieber Loses It
Fans steal his cap, knock down his mom.
A mob of hysterical Justin Bieber fangirls converged on the teen heartthrob as he arrived in New Zealand for a concert, stealing his cap and knocking his mother down.
The incident put the teddy-bear-like Bieber, 16, in an understandably cranky mood. “Finally got to New Zealand last night,” he tweeted to his 2.1 million followers. “The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people.”
Justin’s mother tweeted that she wasn’t hurt. “Thanks for all ur support! I’m OK thank you!!!”
According to The Huffington Post, Justin wanted to sign autographs and pose with fans at the airport. But the crowd got out of hand, and he was escorted out of the airport – but not before he and his mother were mobbed by fans.
The Canadian-born singer, who caught the music industry’s eye after his mother posted videos of him on YouTube, has a history of causing chaos. Before he arrived in New Zealand, a concert was canceled in Sydney, Australia, after some fans were injured by surging crowds. And a free concert at a mall in New York state was called off last year when hundreds of fans stampeded.
There was a happy ending to the evening, though: a remorseful fan returned Justin’s hat. “I got my cap back,” the star tweeted. “no hugs, no thank u’s. just glad they did the right thing.” (The Huffington Post)
