On Tuesday we learned that Heidi Montag had allegedly been fondled by The Hills creator Adam Divello. We were surprised, disgusted and ever so slightly suspicious.

Well, this morning cast member Lauren Conrad set the record straight (thankfully!) via an exclusive statement to UsMagazine.com.

“Similar to most of my fellow MTV cast mates, I am in utter shock at the allegations made against Adam DiVello,” she said. “Not only are they completely absurd, but they are 100 percent without merit. Adam is a true professional and a wonderful person to work for.”

Lauren also shot down the claim that Adam made inappropriate advances towards her in the past. Plus, an MTV spokesperson told the website that the corporation has “looked into” the matter, and that the allegations “are completely false.”

Case closed! However, does anyone else find it odd that Adam hasn’t bothered to send out his own statement? (Us Magazine)

It makes sense that Heidi would lie about something like that. She’ll do or say anything for attention, even if it hurts someone. Why do we still talk about her?
