Malan Breton Project Runway is back! On Thursday August 20 at 10 p.m., Heidi Klum, Tim Gunn, Nina Garcia and Michael Kors will be joined by 16 new contestants who’ll cut, snip and snipe for season six at the show’s new home on Lifetime TV.

The designers will be living under the camera’s unblinking eye 24 hours a day. And according to season three contestant, Malan Breton, they’ll be subjected to one of the most stressful experiences in their lives. They’ll be forced to share small apartments with people they don’t know (bringing back every nightmare moment from when they were college freshman). Every movement and every word uttered will be picked apart by the judges and the viewing audience. And, Malan warns, while in the real world, a designer may take a week or even a month to work on an item; here they’re forced to make haute couture creations in 24 hours or less!

Contestants may find that new friends turn into enemies and their enemies may turn into friends. And one simple misstep may cost them the chance to not only show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York; it may lose them the chance to find financial backers for their own future line.

  1. On the contrary! I met Malan at a red carpet event and he was so sweet, really shy, so genuine, and did I mention handsome. He seems to appreciate the fact that people have been so receptive to him.
Have you seen his work? GORGEOUS!
Maybe shyness is considered bitchy? I guess there will always be haters, but child this boy is far from fake.
