Marilyn Monroe is one of the most revered figures in film, and her story will soon hit the big screen. Naomi Watts signed on to play the ultimate blonde bombshell in Blonde, a film adaptation of a fictionalized memoir by Joyce Carol Oates. The film will be directed by Andrew Dominik, who directed The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
“I want to tell the story of Norma Jean as a central figure in a fairy tale, an orphan lost in the woods of Hollywood, being consumed by that great icon,” Dominik said.
The film will begin shooting in January. Do you think Naomi Watts will make a good Marilyn Monroe? (Page Six)
