Matt Lauer Moves Out of His Wife’s House
Is the Today Show host the latest celebrity cheater?
Matt Lauer isn’t living at home anymore – he’s moved out after he and his wife Annette had a major argument over Matt’s cheating, according to RadarOnline.
Matt’s mother-in-law Johanna Struijk, who lives in the Netherlands, said Matt was no longer living with her daughter Annette. It’s OK; she is happy,” Struijk told The National Enquirer. She also said Annette Lauer had stopped wearing her wedding ring.
The revelation is the latest in a series of celebrity infidelity scandals over the past twelve months. Golf superstar Tiger Woods, Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James, David Letterman and former Senator John Edwards have seen their marriages rocked by revelations of affairs.
RadarOnline reported that Annette Lauer accused her husband of cheating on her while covering the Winter Olympics in February of this year. Instead of returning home for Valentine’s Day, Lauer stayed in Vancouver, Canada with two gorgeous women, the Enquirer reported.
“There was lots of drinking and Matt was seen on-and-off with two women, both of them pretty Canadian broadcasters,” a source told the Enquirer. “He was getting very flirtatious with them, and they seemed to be enjoying it.” A wife of an NBC colleague of Lauer’s heard about what was happening and told Annette.
Lauer reportedly “split” with his wife two months ago, and has been trying to keep the breakup low key for the sake of the couple’s children. It’s not clear whether the couple is going to divorce.
This isn’t the first time Lauer’s been involved in a cheating scandal. Annette nearly divorced him in 2006 after finding out he’d been having an affair just months before their wedding in 1998. (RadarOnline)
