Matthew McConaughey Wins the TMI Award
Plus, Lady Antebellum dominates at the Academy of Country Music Awards.

The big news from this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards was actually all about last year’s award show. When Matthew McConaughey took the stage to present the award for Best Male Vocalist, he had a little story to share.
“After the show last year my lady and I – Camila – went back to the hotel and conceived the little lady who is now our daughter,” McConaughey said. “I promise you me and Camila are going to try not to get so lucky this year. Two is enough. We’re flush for awhile.”
We’re sure Camila was thrilled with this gross revelation. Anyway, some trophies were also distributed last night! Celebrated trio Lady Antebellum took home the awards for Song of the Year and Single of the Year for their hit “Need You Now,” as well as the award for Vocal Group. Carrie Underwood won Entertainer of the Year for the second year in a row, while Miranda Lambert was named the Best Female Vocalist and Brad Paisley won Top Male Vocalist.
There were a few surprises at the award show (aside from Matthew’s icky revelations). Take Nicole Kidman, for example. For reasons we cannot begin to understand, Nicole Kidman showed up for the award show dressed as Wednesday Adams in her Sunday Michael Jackson-inspired dominatrix best. Nicole, please explain your thinking.
Oh hi, Lindsey Vonn, what are you doing here? We don’t see any snow…
