Mean Betty on Kim Kardashian vs. Demi Moore
The Twitter divas @Kimkardashian and @mrskutcher engaged in a little war of words and an important lesson the other night.
Hollywood’s favorite cougar puma took to Twitter the other night to give Hollywood’s favorite rear end reality star a little lesson in politically correct semantics. Will wonders never cease? Kim Kardashian, being ever shy and retiring, Tweeted the above photo of herself at a charity event in Miami with her friends DJ La La Vazquez, tennis star Serena Wiliams and singer Kelly Rowland … and captioned it: “Big pimpin w @SerenajWilliams @LaLaVazquez @Kelly_Rowland Love u girls!”
It wasn’t the name-dropping that bothered Demi Moore … it was Kim’s cavalier use of the word “pimpin.’”
“Are you using the word “pimpin” as in pimping?,” she Tweeted, to which Kim replied: “Doesn’t everyone? LOL.”
But Demi didn’t think that was so LOL – missing apostrophe or not!
Demi retorted: “No disrespect I love a girls night out but a pimp and pimping is nothing more than a slave owner!”
Well goodness, Demi, Mean Betty is sure Kimmy never thought of it that way!
Isn’t it nice when our elders can school us in these things? Especially one who is so well-known for her deportment now that she’s all grown up? Why it seems like just last month that Demi Moore was teaching her daughter to pole-dance at Chateau Marmont. Oh wait, kittens, that was last month! Well never you mind.
The point here is that Kim Kardashian ought to be more careful when throwing around words on Twitter, and focus instead showing us how famous she is and desperately Tweeting photos of herself in bikinis.
Look at me! Please! I have awesome cleavage and I don’t care that I’m single again! Really!
Or how about this full-body shot? Hot, right? Look at me! LOOK AT ME!
As for Demi – well goodness, it’s a wonder she ever feels safe stepping away from her computer or putting her Blackberry down! Saving people from suicides, spreading education about modern-day slavery … when does she find the time to bathe in wrinkle cream or whatever it is she does when she’s not manning the Internet?
Well if there’s one thing we learned from all this, darlings, it’s the very important lesson that … celebrities follow each other on Twitter. Quelle shock!
