Miss USA Contestants let it All Hang Out
Has the pageant become too pornographic?
It looks like the once charming, poised ladies of the Miss USA pageant took one too many cues from Paris Hilton and turned it into a vamped-up, cleavage bearing lingerie show.
Miss USA, which airs Sunday on NBC, is bringing sexy back a year after Miss California Carrie Prejean nearly lost her crown when semi-nude photo surfaced on the Web after she won—not that her opposition to gay marriage wasn’t already a hot button issue.
A racy photo shoot of the new contestants is not too over-the-top like Prejean’s were according to Miss USA, Miss Teen USA and Miss Universe owner, Donald Trump. “Those were quite a bit different. There’s no open exposure [in the current Miss USA pictures],” he told the NY Post.
The 51 Miss USA wannabes were photographed for their black-and-white “glam” shots last week in Las Vegas by pageant shutterbug Fadil Berisha.
“I did see the pictures, and obviously, they’re risqué, but I also thought they were very artsy and very beautiful,” Trump said.
