Teaching may be notoriously low paid profession, but that doesn’t stop more than half of U.S. teachers from reaching into their own pockets and buying food for their classrooms on a monthly basis with their own money, says a new report.
According to new statistics by Share Our Strength, 63 percent of teachers said that they helped feed their hungry, low-income students on a regular basis.
