Most of Us Don’t Want Sarah Palin in the White House
A new poll reveals the majority of Americans don’t want to see a Palin presidential ticket.

It seems on the whole this country is happier with Sarah Palin as a political pundit and avid Facebooker than as a serious presidential candidate. A new CBS poll reveals the majority of Americans don’t want Palin to make a bid for the White House in 2012. Specifically, 71 percent of respondents say they do not want the former VP nominee to run for president, while 21 percent say they do want her to run.
Slightly more Republicans than Democrats are up for a Palin 2012 bumper sticker – when broken down along party lines, 30 percent of Republicans say they do want her to seek the office and 56 percent say no thanks. Meanwhile, 88 percent of Democrats do not want her to run. (Presumably the rest of them are hoping if she does run, it’ll just help Obama’s reelection bid?) Among independents, 65 percent do not want her to run and 25 percent do.
The poll also reveals that on the whole, most Americans aren’t big fans of Sarah Palin in any capacity (only 26 percent view her favorably), though thanks to her recent book tour, she is slightly more well-known than she used to be.
