Northwest Flight 253 Terrorist Claims More Attacks Are Coming
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab informed the FBI that this is the first of many planned attacks.
Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, the 23-year-old man who had hoped to blow up Northwest Flight 253 from Amsterdam to Detroit on Christmas Day, reportedly told FBI agents that others are being trained in Yemen and more attacks are headed our way.
Military police in Amsterdam are currently looking at security videos for signs of an accomplice as two passengers claim to have seen an elegantly dressed gentleman trying to persuade a gate agent to allow the terrorist aboard without a passport.
“At this moment we have no information on whether there was another guy,” a military police spokesman explained to Reuters. “We are checking all clues and information we get.”
This morning Homeland Security Chief Janet Napolitano told several news outlets that “an extensive review” of the security system is under way. (The New York Daily News)
