Obama Statue Stirs Up Controversy in Indonesia
The bronze statue had to be relocated due to public outrage.
A statue depicting President Barack Obama as a 10-year-old boy was removed from a park in the Indonesian capital over the weekend after a public backlash.
Detractors had argued that an Indonesian hero should have been honored instead, and the statue was taken to an elementary school which Obama attended as a child.
The 43-inch bronze sculpture will be on display by the time Obama visits Jakarta from March 20-22. (The Associated Press)
