Oprah, Sarah and Michelle
Update on the Queen of All Media
The Betty editors
Is Oprah now complaining that Sarah Palin won’t appear on her show? Remember it was reported that Oprah, a total Obamaniac, didn’t invite Sarah to appear during the campaign season. After the election Sarah did do a media barnstorming tour, showing up in quick succession on Today, Larry King and on several Fox broadcasts. But no Oprah.
Did she turn down the Queen of All Media? Oprah admits, “I went and tried to talk to Sarah Palin and instead she talked to Greta [Van Susteren]. She talked to Matt [Lauer]. She talked to Larry [King]. But she didn’t talk to me. But maybe she’ll talk to me now that she has a [multi-million dollar] book deal.” Me-ow.
When asked if Oprah will have Barack Obama on the show, she responded, “There’s always an open invitation for the President -elect and the First Lady.”
Other Oprah-Obama updates. Extra! has been suggesting that she might move her show to Washington for Inauguration Week. She says she’s not sure she’s having an inauguration party, though, she also told Extra! that people are calling her about it but it’s news to her and nothing is planned. Meanwhile Star Magazine reports that Oprah is saying she will gladly lend Michelle Obama some jewelry to wear at the Inaugural Balls. Those who have seen Oprah’s collection of big-ticket bling says she has everything from simple diamond stud earrings to important necklaces and bracelets. Will Michelle be able to resist?
