Roman Polanski Granted Bail
Although the director’s request for bail has been granted by a court in Switzerland, he will remain behind bars for the time being.
On Wednesday a Swiss Justice Ministry rep told the Associated Press that a $4.5-million bail was approved for Roman Polanski who could be extradited to L.A. for sentencing for the rape of a 13-year-old girl three decades ago.
The bail plan states Polanski will be under electronic monitoring at his Swiss villa until the justice system figures out whether or not he should go to California. (The Los Angeles Times)
