Chelsea Stancell from Houston and R. McPherson from Long Island met waiting in line to audition for the Sex and the City sequel.
“I came all the way from Texas,” said Chelsea Stancell, a bubbly 17-year-old aspiring actress. The Houston native – who has no family or friends in NYC – arrived at 6:00 a.m. to snag one of the first spots in line.
Her mother caught a glimpse of her waiting in line on the Today Show. “My mom called and said, ‘You look wonderful! Now did you bring any lipstick?” Chelsea giggled. “I put on my lipstick.”
But don’t worry mom, Chelsea was quickly befriended by her line-mate, R. McPherson from Long Island, who promised she’d help Chelsea get settled in New York. Aww, it’s a Carrie-Samantha friendship in the making!
Starr Jeffreys, Agnes Verduin, and Stiene Moons said the audition was just something they “had to experience.”
Friends Starr Jeffreys, Agnes Verduin and Stiene Moons arrived at the audition together. They’re all transplants to New York (Starr from Alabama, Agnes from Holland and Stiene from Belgium) and all huge SATC fans.
“We just had to experience this,” said Agnes.
Police said the roughly 300 people waiting in line (in addition to the 200 SAG members allowed inside to wait), were surprisingly calm. Not a stiletto fight in sight.
