Study Reveals Casual Sex Does Not Cause Emotional Damage
…but don’t go running into the arms of the nearest available man just yet.
University of Minnesota researchers have found that young adults who engage in casual intercourse are no more at risk for experiencing psychological issues than those in monogamous relationships.
Researchers quizzed 737 females and 574 males – around age 20 – about their sexual history, and decided that there are no differences in the mental well-being of participants who had an informal or a committed lover.
However, Study author Marla E. Eisenberg warns that just because casual sex is not a threat to one’s mental state, it doesn’t mean it should be taken lightly. (MSN)
