Taylor Swift’s Highs and J.Lo’s Lows at the American Music Awards
Plus, Janet Jackson and Adam Lambert’s big performances.

Taylor Swift’s winning streak continued last night, when she took received five American Music Awards, including Artist of the Year. She accepted from London via satellite. Michael Jackson received four AMAs, including Favorite Male Artist, Pop/Rock.
The show opened with “eight minutes of Janet Jackson,” but between Janet’s lip-synching and a few minor dance slip-ups, the performance was underwhelming – at least, for Miss Jackson.
Jennifer Lopez seemed to hope for a triumphant return with her performance of her new song “Louboutins,” but J.Lo fell flat – literally. She felt flat on her bum while dancing, which is shocking, since she wasn’t even wearing sky-high Louboutins (she fell in flats – gasp)! Check out the video below.
Adam Lambert rounded out the wild night with an S&M-themed performance of “For Your Entertainment,” in which he kissed a male bandmate and held a dancer’s face to his crotch, then flipped off the audience. Fun for the whole family!
Let’s hope Taylor Swift stays away from hard-partying starlets like Lindsay Lohan – she seems to be one of the last positive role models in entertainment. Go to PopEater for more on this story. (PopEater, Gawker)
