Texas Plane Crash was Deliberate Attack According to Officials
Authorities are now certain that Joseph Andrew Stack knew what he was doing Thursday morning.
Federal officials have confirmed that the private plane which crashed into an office building in Austin, Texas, early Thursday was a deliberate act.
Pilot Joseph Andrew Stack, 53, took off from an airport in Georgetown at 9:40 a.m. and smashed into the building soon after.
“We do not yet know the cause of the plane crash,” the Department of Homeland Security stated in a press release. “At this time, we have no reason to believe there is a nexus to terrorist activity. We continue to gather more information, and are aware there is additional information about the pilot’s history. At this time, we are referring further questions to local authorities and the FAA.”
Two people are currently being treated for injuries at University Medical Center Brackenridge. (CNN)
