There’s Nothing Wrong With the Jolie-Pitt Twins
The National Enquirer runs a story igniting the question of whether or not the twins have down syndrome.
The National Enquirer must have been running low on trashy stories, as they decided to make a big deal out of nothing with their latest cover story.
The tabloid claims that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are nervous that their twins, Vivienne and Knox, have down syndrome thanks to bloggers who have said it looks like they have the disease.
This, of course, is absurd, as Babble points out. “Per the National Institute of Health, a 35-year-old woman has a 1 in 400 chance of having a child with DS,” writes the blogger. “Which means, mathematically, there is 0.000625 percent chance that both twins, with different DNA, would have DS.”
So basically, the National Enquirer took it upon themselves to create controversy over the simple fact that the Jolie-Pitt twins have striking facial features. Hello? Their parents are two of the most gorgeous people in the world — Vivienne and Knox have inherited Angie’s plump lips and Brad’s doe eyes — it’s going to take some time to grow into those beautiful gifts!
