Tiger Woods Meets with Divorce Lawyer
Attorney helped in another golf superstar’s case.
Tiger Woods may finally have given up on his marriage. He met recently in Florida with a prominent divorce attorney who represented Greg Norman in Norman’s divorce last year, according to the Huffington Post.
Since Tiger’s marriage began unraveling last November, it’s been reported many times that his wife, Elin Nordegren, has met with divorce lawyers. But this is the first time that Tiger’s been known to consider legal action of his own. His attorney is Jeff Fisher, who represented Greg Norman in his split from his wife, tennis legend Chris Evert. (Since then, Norman has hooked up with a woman 14 years his junior.)
A source close to the case said the divorce is “100 percent happening,” the website said.
If the two sides can’t reach an out-of-court agreement about the divorce, things are probably going to get very ugly. Nordegren is said to be ready to demand up to $600 million, and she also is insisting on returning to her native Sweden with the couple’s two kids.
Meanwhile, Tiger, who has returned to professional golf, isn’t doing very well on the course. On Friday, he played his second-worst round ever as a pro. (Huffington Post)
