The countdown to the release of Dan Brown’s much anticipated follow-up to his wildly successful 2003 novel The Da Vinci Code is on. The Lost Symbol is set to hit bookstores next Tuesday, September 15th, but is already generating a lot of buzz.
Yesterday, the Today Show began a weeklong countdown, with host Matt Lauer revealing clues to various locations featured in the sequel. Lauer was one of the few people allowed to read an advance copy of The Lost Symbol and will interview Brown about the novel next week.
Much like the release of a Harry Potter book, many bookstores, including at least half of all Borders store, plan to stay open until after midnight on Monday night, allowing early birds and rabid fans to be the first to purchase the book. (NY Times)
