Betty on the News: Jackson Family Claims Stand-Ins Were Used For Parts of This Is It
The Jackson family accuses Sony Pictures of using lookalikes for a frail Michael Jackson during some of the scenes in the new documentary, ‘This Is It.’

The person singing and dancing in parts of the new Michael Jackson documentary, This Is It, which will be begin its limited release in movie theaters this week, may not be the former King of Pop, but an impersonator, a new report reveals.
According to the UK’s News of the World, Michael Jackson’s family has accused Sony Pictures of using stand-ins and Jackson look-alikes to fill in for the ailing singer during parts of the film.
Jackson’s dad, Joe, who has seen the 12 minutes of This Is It that has been released, said: “This movie features body doubles, no doubt about it. I think people will tear this movie apart.”
Navi Parasram, a British Jacko impersonator, also told the newspaper that he turned down the opportunity to appear in the film, noting that he was asked to stand-in for Jackson, doing “long shots, visuals, and placements.” (News of the World)
