When shots of Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr hit the internet last week from a recent swimwear shoot she did for Grazia Australia, some people were shocked to see what appeared to be a weight loss from the already-thin model’s frame. However, in a statement to the magazine, the 26-year-old girlfriend of Orlando Bloom insisted that she is healthy and is even coming out with a book on nutrition later this year.
“The exaggerated poses for the shoot have made me appear thinner than normal from behind, but I am the same weight and measurements I have maintained for more than three years,” she said to Grazia Australia.
“I am conscious of not only maintaining but promoting a healthy lifestyle and I wouldn’t be able to sustain the hectic nature of my modeling commitments if I wasn’t 100 per cent committed to feeding my body the food, vitamins and minerals it needs.”
Kerr also revealed that she eats a ‘mostly’ vegetarian diet and does yoga every day in order to keep up with her grueling schedule.
“I work six days a week, 15 hours a day – and that’s not a joke,” she said.
The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model went on to say that she even has her own body insecurities, but tries to take a level-headed approach to dealing with them.
“As women, we can’t compare ourselves because we’re each beautiful in our own unique way… I really don’t want girls to think they have to look like me. I want them to nurture themselves and really be the best they can be.” (Daily Mail)
