President Barack Obama has asked Myanmar’s military government to release Aung San Suu Kyi, a fellow Nobel Peace Prize winner and pro-democracy Burmese leader who has been imprisoned for 14 of the last 20 years in the oppressive southeast Asian country, said press secretary Robert Gibbs to reporters on Sunday.
Obama reportedly gave the message to Myanmar Prime Minister General Thein Sein during a summit on Sunday with leaders of 10 Southeast Asian nations. (Fox News)
