Betty on the News: Olsens to Launch Affordable Fashion Line
The stylish twins bring their trendy sense to JCPenney.
Onetime Full House tots Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have joined forces with JCPenney in an effort to launch a reasonably priced new brand called Olsenboye for juniors.
According to Women’s Wear Daily the Spring 2010 line is to be sold exclusively to the retail chain, and will appear in 600 stores nationwide.
Next Monday the Olsen’s will be walking around Manhattan, passing out treats and balloons and selling some unspecified merchandise to promote the line. On November 6 the brand will debut on JCP.com as well as in 50 of JCPenney’s most popular stores for a limited time.
“It’s very fun, fashion driven, trendy and wholesome at the same time,” the company’s executive vice president Liz Sweeney relayed to WWD.
The items, staring at 0 and going up to 15, will range from $20-$50; not too bad for a sisterly duo worth $300 million! (New York Daily News)
