Betty on the News: Palin Mania to Start Again?
‘Going Rogue’ may restore Sarah Palin’s popularity
Former Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin is aiming to get back to the top and just might succeed if her upcoming memoir Going Rogue is well liked.
A staggering 1.5 million copies of the cleverly named title – priced at $28.99 – will be distributed on November 17, which is quite a gamble on the publishing house’s part.
Sure she’s a favorite of conservatives and Saturday Night Live performers, but can she reach – and make money from – a broader audience? Palin and her publishers are betting you betchya.
MarketWatch.com reports: “If the book flies off shelves at the stores, we will know – for sure – that Palin has commercial appeal …. That’s when you’ll see the media lining up to ask her to host television and radio programs. And Palin-mania will once again go full throttle.”
Looks like we may soon be hearing a lot more from the ex governor of Alaska. (MarketWatch)
