Betty on the News: Wal-Mart Best Represents America, According to New Poll
Americans are in love with the discount department store chain
In a new “60 Minutes”-Vanity Fair Poll released Sunday it was revealed that half of the participants considered Wal-Mart to be the institution which best represents America today.
The study, based on a random sample of 1,097 respondents nationwide, was carried out via phone between August 27 and 31 by CBS News.
Amazingly enough Wal-Mart managed to beat Google, the NFL, Microsoft and the securities and banking firm Goldman Sachs, meaning that most Americans identify more with marked-down Chex Mix than with their favorite football team or even the Internet! (Yahoo! News)
