Top 5 Picks from Around the Web

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner1. Violet is finally a big sister! Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck welcomed their second daughter Tuesday. No name has been released yet, but we’re watching and waiting to see what they pair with Violet. Surely they’re too down to earth to pick anything too crazy … right? We can only hope that she’s as adorable and happy as her sister always seems to be. Congratulations! (Telegraph)

2. Talk about double teaming. In order to travel on a little vacation to Colombia before his tour, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez are taking an entire entourage that includes, get this, FOUR nannies for TWO children! PLUS four bilingual assistants to aid said nannies. All this for just a three-day trip, which is said to just be a publicity stunt to cover their crumbling marriage. At least they’re employing some people in this economy… (Lossip)

3. Jamie Lynn decoy suing for $2 million … minding her own business on a flight into LAX, Addessa Eskridge, looked enough like the younger Spears sister to be asked by LAX police to serve as a decoy so the ever-important Jamie Lynn and her baby could depart safely. Eskridge said she had no idea what she was being asked to do, and her picture was found in numerous print and online publications. She claims “great humiliation” and calls it a “demeaning and traumatic ordeal.”

LAX or her people certainly should have had a better plan in place, BUT $2 million? We’ll be anyone’s decoy for that sum … well, almost anyone. (Celebitchy)

4. Not banned for life afterall … Ann Coulter, who was bumped from Today yesterday was invited back today and did indeed appear. She bantered back and forth with Matt Lauer, who looked incredulous at times at the comments the controversial author made. Lauer probed about her referring to Barack Obama as “B. Hussein Obama” and asked if she didn’t do that to fuel rumors that he’s a Muslim.

“It’s not untrue that’s what his middle name is,” she said with a smile. “It’s insane to act as if using someone’s middle name is some sort of vicious hate crime.”

In the end, Matt reiterated that she was NOT banned. Nice happy ending with good publicity for both parties … they couldn’t have planned that better. (

5. Brad Pitt is “very proud” of the way he handled his adulterous affair with Angelina Jolie during the filming of Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Page Six quotes from an interview W magazine did with Pitt to be released in the February issue:

What people don’t understand is that we filmed [‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’] for a year. We were still filming after Jen [Aniston] and I split up,” he tells W in the annual “A-List” February issue. “Even then it doesn’t mean that there was some kind of dastardly affair. There wasn’t. I’m very proud of the way that it was handled. It was respectful.” Aniston might disagree – she called Jolie’s comment that the couple fell in love on-set “uncool” – but Pitt downplays any animosity. “Listen, man, Jen is a sweetheart. I think she got dragged into that one, and then there’s a second round to all that Angie versus Jen. It’s so created,” he claims. “We still check in with each other. She was a big part of my life, and me hers. I don’t see how there cannot be [that]. That’s life, man. That’s life.”

We love you Brad, but proud? Respectful? Let’s not kid ourselves. A little remorse would be nice. (New York Post)
