Nicole Richie1. A glowing Nicole Richie was all smiles at the “What Comes Around Goes Around” Fall 2009 Collection Launch. The mother-to-be, who is due this coming August or early September, proudly displayed her budding baby bump under an adorable – and totally stylin’ – ensemble. (Celebrity Baby Blog)

2. Lindsay Lohan is just now feeling the pain that millions of Americans have been enduring for months – the ache of unemployment.

“It’s scary when you realize, ‘Oh my God, I’m not working. And I have a house to pay for now.’… and there’s been some things I’ve really wanted to do,” she disclosed in Nylon’s April issue.

3. While some did not appreciate Barack Obama likening his bowling skills to that of the ‘Special Olympics,’ his guest spot on the Tonight Show was a huge success. Jay Leno should be rather pleased today after learning that Obama’s appearance was so popular that the overnight ratings were the highest they had been since 2005!

4. Here’s one gal who will not be featured in a ghastly stars without makeup segment. 23-year-old Keira Knightley entered Heathrow Airport Wednesday sans eyeliner and lip shimmer. The natural-look undeniably suits the exquisite starlet! (Daily Mail)

5. There’s trouble in paradise for Madonna and Jesus Luz (yes already). The queen bee is peeved that the male model uses his cell phone in her presence, which he thinks is entirely “unreasonable.” At this point Jesus is allowed to benefit from our technological advances, just not when Madge is around. A mobile is seriously her biggest complaint?? (Celebitchy)

  1. CaliGal says:

You know, I wish our President would focus more on our country and less on his celebrity.

  2. edgeworth says:

I was shocked that he made this kind of TV appearance not because it is an entertainment show, but because it left him without his beloved Teleprompter.

  3. alterego says:

I love that he appeared on the show! He wants to reach the masses. Also he spent most of the time really talking about his financial programs and the economy — it’s not like he chatted about Paris and Lindsay.

  4. CaliGal says:

It doesn’t what he talked about or how great a personality he has – he should be in Washington focusing on fixing our country, not on late night TV promoting himself.

  5. GinnyInFL says:

I agree with the other commenters. I’m glad the President was able to make his appearance on the show to relate to us as to how focused he is on working for the good of the country. It’s good to know that he’s working hard in Washington on fixing the problems that are plaguing the nation. And yes, he relates so much better when he’s just one on one, and yet he is also equally capable with a teleprompter. He is a great leader. I’m so happy that many other Americans feel the same way.

  6. K S says:

The president’s appearance on the Tonight Show was only a huge success for Jay Leno’s ratings, because the president had to apologize for his insensitive remark about the Special Olympics. It was the most newsworthy part of his appearance. I agree with CaliGal (and feel that alterego writes like April).

  7. needcoffee says:

i think it’s great he wants to be a man of the people and all, and maybe at some other time such an appearence would be fine, but our country is in a huge crisis, and i thought it was pretty inappropriate for him to go on a comedy show.

  8. violetgal says:

Ah yes and how often did George Bush Jr. go on vacation during his presidency?

And Obama’s appearance on Leno was ONE NIGHT out of how many??
It was an interview, nothing more. Calm down.

  9. Joey35 says:

I’m just so happy to have a president that can properly speak. Georgie saying “Is our children learning?” (among other things) is degrading to the American people.
