Twitter Star Scores a Sitcom
@Sh*tMyDadSays has so many Twitter followers and such funny tweets that he’s landed a sitcom and a book deal.
If you’re one of the one million followers of @Sh*tMyDadSays on Twitter, then you’re familiar with the hilarious things that Justin Halpern’s 74-year-old dad says that Justin, 29, then repeats on his Twitter account.
He says magical phrases that can only come out of a bitter 74-year-old’s mouth, like this comment about Valentine’s Day: “Nah, we don’t celebrate it. Don’t know who St. Valentine was, don’t give a sh*t, and doubt he wants people screwing in his memory.”
Any young person living at home with their parents like Justin knows that they say some pretty crazy stuff. Stuff that Justin has been smart enough to repeat, and now he will make a living off of.
William Shatner has just been cast in the CBS series based on Justin’s Twitter acount, reportedly being directed by Will & Grace creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick.
Justin, the genius that he his, has also landed a book deal because of his comical tweets. So, there are some good things that come out of living at home afterall. (CNN)
