Website Raises Money to Banish Rush Limbaugh
“A Ticket For Rush” is raising money to buy the conservative radio host a one-way ticket to Costa Rica.
Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh announced on his program a few weeks ago that he would move to Costa Rica if President Obama’s health care bill passed. Now that it has, a website is making sure Limbaugh carries through with his promise.
“A Ticket For Rush” has just popped up since Sunday’s decision to pass the health care bill. The site is currently accepting $1 donations to buy Limbaugh a one-way First Class ticket to Costa Rica – and they’ve already met their goal. “18 hours, 1,158 dollars, and over 62,000 visits later – everyone is unbelievably awesome,” says the site’s homepage. “We’ve made enough for a single First Class ticket, but thankfully the donations keep coming… there’s a next part to this plan.”
“Mike and Patrick… two dudes living in Brooklyn,” who “don’t have health insurance,” are the ones behind the site and plan to personally contact Limbaugh to offer him the ticket. If Limbaugh refuses to move, or if the site raises more money than the cost of the plane ticket (which is highly likely – the donation period runs until April 30), all money will go to Planned Parenthood.
