The Screen Actors Guild Awards were held this weekend, and much of the show seemed like a Golden Globes Redux.
Jeff Bridges, Sandra Bullock, Christoph Waltz and Mo’Nique all took home more best actor and supporting actor trophies. Sandra Bullock told reporters backstage that despite her success, she still doesn’t feel quite like an actor.
“I would be a hostess or a waitress or a house restorer before I ever considered myself an actor, because I never thought I was good enough,” Sandra said.
In the television categories, Glee and Mad Men took home the best ensemble awards (for comedy and drama, respectively), while Drew Barrymore picked up another statue for her role in HBO’s Grey Gardens.
Betty White was honored with a lifetime achievement award, but she kept up her sense of humor in her acceptance speech. After exchanging playful jabs with Sandra bullock, White told the audience:
“I should be presenting an award to you for the privilege of working in this wonderful business all this time. And you still can’t get rid of me.”
