Will Smith’s Secret to Wedded Bliss
The action star dedicates time, love and support to wife Jada
Will Smith and his wife of 11 years, Jada Pinkett Smith, are still overtly in love with each other after all these years of matrimony. The number one most bankable Hollywood star flew into New York with Jada last week to support her in her new show, HawthoRNe, during the TNT Up Fronts presentation. Here’s a peek inside the duo’s still-sizzling and sweet life together.
Will has a security team that mimics the Secret Service. Will’s team split up and sent an advance unit to the Hammerstein Ballroom to check out the layout and security for Jada’s early morning TNT event at 7 a.m. Once the room was ready for their arrival, Will’s second team brought them in at 8:30 a.m. Part of the second team included stylists for Jada and extra security. Will tagged along behind Jada, insisting that it was “her day, her show, all about Jada – she’s workin’ it” and he was just there to show his support. Will posed for just a few photos with Jada, allowing her to mingle with the network brass and celebs.
Will spent his time chatting with DreamWorks CEO, Jeffrey Katzenberg, and Jerry Bruckheimer while Jada spoke with Holly Hunter. Jada, surprisingly timid off-camera, got Will a coffee at the bar and rubbed his back while leaning against him. Tyler Perry came over to congratulate Jada on the show and talk Oprah and friends with Will when it was time for Jada to hit the stage and give her speech. Jada wanted Will by her side, so much so that the superstar stood just off the wings of the stage watching his wife. As she was pulled into interviews and photos, Will stood only feet away at all times chatting with the people around him.
When the loving couple was forced to separate so that Jada could hit the stage with all the stars of the new TV shows, Will stayed in the posh green room, watching Ray Romano and George Lopez crack up the audience. Will’s security team attempted to pull Will back to Jada just as the George Lopez segment featuring President Barack Obama was played. Will was mesmerized, laughing and clapping, joking that the President was the only person who could distract him from his gorgeous wife.
After dedicating over three hours to Jada in the morning, Will insisted on staying with her and headed downtown in their car together for the private luncheon at Mario Batali‘s restaurant, Del Posto. There he lunched with Jada and casually conversed with Ray, George and all the other stars of the new TNT lineup.
